Veronika Miroshnichenko, our favorite WTA player, demonstrates how you how to come across the ball to get them over the net when playing a low volley. Always make sure you're in a Continental grip to volley as it perfectly sets the angle of the racquet.

Here is a different way to practice and improve your toss when serving. Find a basketball hoop and toss it up in the hoop. It will give you a sense of height and a target to aim for on where you exactly need the ball to be at contact. Most elementary schools have basketball hoops at different heights if you need something lowing the a normal 10 foot hoop. My go-to song is Janet Jackson's Control. Have some fun with this.
